Seventeen-year-old Faiza Almontaser chronicles her journey from a Yemeni farming town to Brooklyn, navigating the challenges of being a young Muslim in post-9/11 America. After enduring isolation and anti-Islamic bullying, she mastered English to transform her silence into activism, becoming a peer trainer against racism. Her film explores the struggle for social integration and identity, using poetry and storytelling to challenge misconceptions and advocate for religious and cultural understanding.
